Pink Girlicure

Hello! Today I have a super sweet girlicure, lol! I tried not to do very different shades of pink...but they are super different. I need to do a closer color version in the future. My ring finger is in fact a pink metallic but there was absolutely no light today as its been snowing since the morning so the colors are kinda wack. Btw my index finger isn't simply white polish. Its a pinky white with Color Club Femme Fatale, unfortunately it doesn't show. For now this will have to do, so take a look...

Pink Girlicure

Doesn't it look like fun? The design on my pinky is from one of the Konad stamps, but I'm so tired and I dont feel like seeing which number it is. Snow days are tiring, aren't they? Anyway, thats all for today! Ta ta.

Polka Dot Half-Moon Manicure!

Hey! How are you doing today? I know it may seem like I'm doing alot of the same "ideas" on my nails recently, its just that when I rely on the internet and fellow bloggers for designs I like to see a variety of looks on the same idea. So I feel like I owe it to my members to do the same. So I have a couple of lace mani's, heart mani's, polka dot mani's...etc. Btw, my mom thinks this is the cutest manicure she's seen so far...so thats a big thing for me! I love her approval and appreciation of my never-ending love for all things nails. Oh and also I've been wanting to try doing the whole half-moon manicure, and so I thought I could combine them together and see what came out...and me likey! Please excuse the fact that the bottom of my nails are blue...they just never look pink in winter! Anyway, here's what I did. See for yourself...

Polka Dot Half-moon Manicure

I felt like the true color of the purple wasn't really showing so I took it inside and this is how it came out...

For this look I used black nail polish to paint the base and shaped it at the beginning in the half-moon design. Next I used three different sized dotting tools (or anything else) to make the pastel lilac dots. I used Seventeen Supreme in number 288. And finally I used LA Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in Silver Glitter to line the half-moon design. No topcoat. And that was all. So what do you think?

Lace Manicure

Hey everyone! How's it going? I'm on a lace frenzy...and I cant stop. So I've been seeing alot of this lace look all over the internet, whether it be stamped or freehanded, and I decided I wanted to do it as well. I thought I would freehand it today and maybe do a stamped lace detail tomorrow or the day after. The other day, I saw that Manon had done a stamped lace design on Color Club's Incognito and I thought it was breathtaking. So I used that as my base color and then did lace detailing on the top with a regular black nail polish and detail brush. Here's how it came out..

Lace Manicure

Isn't Incognito to die for? It's this beige pink putty like color that looks very earthy and natural. Its a flattering color and a great alternative to just a flat beige. The lace detailing on the top was easy to do but as you can see it didn't come out perfect. But thats why I'm practicing in the first place, right? Surprisingly, it doesn't take long to do and it could be a great manicure for a party. Also, you dont need to do the detail in black...it can be in almost any color. I chose black because I like the contrast between it and the light base underneath...it almost looks like theres a viel on your fingertips. Tres chic, no? Have a great one!

Lace French Mani

Hello lovelies! Today I have another...Lace Mani! Why am I posting so many lace manicures, you ask? Well, because I'm not very good at doing them and I've been trying out different looks to practice on. So your coming along with me on this "learning experience". I love lace manicure because they are so elegant and the epitomy of feminine! We need to celebrate being women, and show off our beautiful features! My sis told me this one looked like snow and I believe it does too, but that wasn't my aim. So here it is
Lace French Mani

So it's a really flirty and girly manicure. I used Flormar Nail Enamel in 119 as a base (it needed 4 coats). Then I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On for my french and lace design. And finally I sealed it all in with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Disco Ball. The end! Have a great day.

Cheetah and Lace Nails

Hey everyone! How are you doing today? I was super excited about my polka dot and flower mani yesterday that I did with only a pin...I felt look doing another look with only a sewing and bobby pin. And I really love how this came out. It kinda makes me wish I entered this into the contest but oh well. On another note, I just finished reading Modelland and I gotta say that it really blew me away. I loved it and adored every page of it. I cant wait until the second book comes out...ugh! I really recommend this book, its a great read. Back to nails...

Cheetah and Lace Nails

It reminds me of lingerie! I love it! I used L.A. Girl Nail Lacquer in Grain for the base (it needed like 4 coats) and then I used Seventeen SuperShine 529 to make the slanted base for the cheetah print. I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Black out (as always) to do the cheetah print and the lace detail. No topcoat. Gold, cheetah, and lace! Im in heaven. For those of you who dont know...I am a gold LOVER! It's my favorite thing in the whole world...along with puppy dogs of course. Well, have a great days you guys!

Studded Polka Dot look: Entry for Chalkboard Nails

Hey everyone! So I recently found that Sarah from Chalkboard Nails is hosting a Nail art contest. You can only use your dotting tool. I thought that would be pretty fun and interesting, so I decided to enter and here is my look. Its just a simple semi circle dot design on each nail and on my ring finger I used to a matte black polish to make the flower and outlined it with Flormar Plus Quartz in 064 which is this awesome silver green color. The end look came out like a studded belt I think. I love it. I dont have an actual dotting tool so I used a sewing pin to get this done. It wasn't difficult at all and I think anyone could recreate this look if they desired.

Polka dot Nail art

I know that my design is super simple compared to some of the other entries but its very flattering on my nails and just an overall easy look to do! Peace and Love!

Haute Couture Polka Dots

Hey Everyone! How are you doing today? I'm going to be honest...I have a million and one designs in my head to do. But I keep postponing them. Why is that, you ask? Only God knows...seriously. I feel so bad that when it comes time to do my nails I give myself 200 excuses why I should leave the designs for later... I need to get that one polish...My nails are too short...excuses...excuses. Tsk...Tsk! Well I am going to do nail art all next week, so stay tuned. For now I have a simple yet adorable mani for you.

Color Club Haute Couture and Polka dots

My polka dots didn't really come out as neat as I wanted, but you can barely notice the flaw in the real life. So I used I believe two coats of Color Club's Haute Couture which is a deep reddish brown color. The first time I applied this polish I hated it...I thought it was unflattering, but then again it was mid-summer. When I tried it again the other day I realized just how beautiful it really is. It can be a bit streaky though, so be careful while applying it. I used a quite a bit of metallic/foil polishes to dot my ring finger. I used silver, gold, pink, and purple...but obviously you can do any combination. So thats all for today. Ciao bellas!

Golden Rose Duochrome

Hey Everyone! I hope your day is going well. Mine was awful, I got very sick in the morning...I think I got the stomach flu. Anyway, I was in bed until just now. But no worries, I have a manicure to show you. I do commit, lol! This is Golden Rose Fantastic Color in 113. For those of you who dont know this company, its a Turkish nail polish company (well they sell other beauty products as well). And they have really amazing colors. I only find these polishes in random stores and by chance...but they do have branches mostly all around the world, so check out their website if your interested and you want more info on that. Wow, that sounded like an advertisement didnt it? Its just cuz I really like them...Anywho!

Golden Rose soft duochrome

These pictures are with 4 coats of the color. I dont think you would be able to achieve opacity, but it can get quite dense. So I tried like 2 billion different angles and the shift would not come up. So my description will have to do. It shifts froms light purple to dark pink to even light yellow in some lights. Unfortunately in my pictures it only comes up light purple. And this color is superb for layering. On a white base it gives off a very faint pinkish yellow color...not so special. On black it gives off a fuchsia color with black rims...its really pretty. And you can layer it on any color you like. I would suggest layering it on different colors than its own duochrome. For example layering it on pink gives nothing but a hint of shine. So be bold and do strange combo's you'll end up liking it more. That's all for today. Peace and Love!

OPI Senorita Rose-alita

Hello chicas! Hows it going? Today I have on a beautiful nail polish that makes me want Summer to come all the faster so I can put on more bright nail colors. Its funny, when Summer is actually here I think its too hot and the weather is disgusting but when I'm in the middle of Winter I wish I wasn't. Never satisfied...eh. Anywho, I absolutely adore this color and I'm sure with a slight tan it would look smoking! So for anyone who ever wondered whether they should get it or not...take a look and then decide.

OPI Senorita Rose-alita

Do you see that lovely shimmer? There's nothing I love more than a deep colored polish with gold shimmer. It makes me wanna dance! I seem over ecstatic about nail polish dont I...well I'm a geek that way! Ok so Senorita Rose-alita is a deep pigmented pink almost raspberry with a gold shimmer spread evenly through it. This was two coats and it doesn't need anymore. See how super shiny it is...Yeah, no topcoat! This polish really surprised me..in the bottle it looked cute so I got it. Inside I wasn't in love with it...but outside it came to life. Anyway, thats it for today. Have a great day!

Reverse French Nails straight from the Runway

Hey everyone! Hows your day going? I was looking through this season's runway nail looks, and although I thought most of them looked butt ugly there was one that caught my attention. It was designed by Nars' Kim D'Amato for the Thakoon Runway Show. I did it and I think it looks super soft and feminine yet very modern. Mind you my french tips need a lot of work but they look super right in real life (darned zoom).

Reverse French Nails

For some reason and no matter what angle I took the pictures in the base looks a milky white...when in reality it is a beautiful soft pinky white. The color is sooo soft and girly I thought it would be a great contrast for the black tips but it looks white. Oh well! Anyway for this I used Seventeen Supreme in either 60 or 09...Grrr, I cant tell which. And then I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Black Out for the tips. Maybe I should stop mentioning the black that I use since its always the same. I just find it reasonably priced and so I use it for all my designs (which dont last longer than a day). Anywho, I like it a bunch...and I hope you do too. Have a great day!

Wedding Lace Nails

Good morning to you all! No, these are not my wedding nails...just an idea! I really like doing my nails in super soft and elegant designs. It feels so womanly! Unfortunately I'm not so great at free-handing those designs. I've been seeing alot of people doing lace designs on their french tips and I love it. So today I tried it and for my first time it could have been worse lol!

Lace Nail Design

For this look I used Jordana in Touch of Pink which is the most gorgeous pink with a tint of blue. Very cool! And I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On to do the tips and lace design. I did the lace look with a toothpick. And then I used La Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in Silver Glitter to line the lace from the bottom. And thats how I did, I'm going to do a Konad Lace design soon...so that'll be fun too.
Take it easy and have a great day!

Sailor Themed Manicure using Color Club Navy

Hey guys! Hows your day going? I am so glad I'm off today because I need some R and R. Today I have a design that I did yesterday but couldn't show you because the weather was awful and pictures weren't clear. Anyway so here they are...

Nautical Nail Art

For this I used Color Club's Naughtycal Navy as a base color on all my nails. Naughtycal Navy is a deep navy blue creme and it applies super duper well. It does tend to get a bit runny so make sure the brush has only a minimal amount on it when you come to apply. But overall, really cool color that I've been wanting for a long time and have finally found! Yaay...as for removal; really rather good for such a dark color. It didn't stain my skin or my nails and only used up the usual amount of remover. Score! I then used KleanColors striping brush in White (which sucks btw). I used a regular red color to draw in the anchor design. And I finished with Sally Hansen Acrylic Top coat. I think this is a good time to thank goingtotheshowing for giving me a Butterfly award. It means so much to me and I'm so happy! So thank you, deary!

Have a great day!
