Random Colored nail polishes

Hey! So, i have a really cool mani that i wanna show you guys but im waiting for something and then Boy...am I gonna show you! hehe. Anyway, so before that i want to just share some recent nail polishes that i got with you guys. I think there awesome!

Essence Colour & Go Where Is The Party?

This is Essence Colour & Go in Where Is The Party? Its an awesome duochrome that flashes between purple and green as you can see in the second picture. Its a really weird color, and some people might not like it but i think its pretty amazing. The brush is small because the bottle is super small like i dont know if the whole collection is small but all of the Colour & Go's that i found were mini so maybe. Like this is only 5 mL where most other nail polishes are an average of 10 mL. So you get the idea.
Anyway, this was also kind of streaky which upset me. Also, it was rather bubble which is weird because i applied this just as i do any other nail polish but for some reason it came out sort of bubble on some fingers.

So that's that. I think its cool, also pretty much there whole collection was amazing. I only got three but i think i'm gonna get some more.

On to the next this is Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Shrimply Devine

Ok so thats super close up...hehe. Anyway its a awesome corally shrimp color pretty much as the name says. Its suppper suppppper pretty. I love it. Its no too pink or too orangey which is cool. And its a very flattering color. Dont be deceived by the color it really shows up beautifully. I dont know, sometimes Sally Hansen nail polish brushes annoy me. And then sometimes they are so efficient and they make applying nail polish that much easier. This was one of those times. I finished my application with like literally one swipe. How awesome is that?
Dont you just love it when a nail polish actually applies itself? God knows i do!

Sinful Colors you really are sinful!

Hey everyone! I hope your all having a great day...my day was kinda tough, so i decided to do my nails and feel better. Oh, how wrong i was! Ok, so i hate not liking a nail polish...it feels weird. Anyway, this was one of those colors that i instantly fell in love with and i knew it was gonna give me trouble from my initial swatch but i was like how bad could it be and i thought the color would be sooo worth it. And sinful colors tend to have good application nail polishes so i thought, what the heck! Anyway i decided to put it on today and i knew i had to wait between each application to make it work right and so i tried my HARDEST to remain as patient as possible.
Alright, without further introduction this is Sinful Colors in Out Of This World from their Wish collection for holiday 2011.

Sinful Colors Out of This World

Out Of This World is more on the sheer side...no actually this is completely sheer. Honestly, it looked kinda sheer in the bottle but i mean the first layer was completely sheer with just some shimmer showing. So i waited...and waited...and then reapplied. And waited...and waited, and then applied one more layer. So i was up to three layers and then began to notice some empty spots. I dont know how much it shows because my camera isn't that great, but you can probably see it on my ring finger.

Alright on to the color description...i know it appears to be silver but in reality its more of an icy frosty silver color kinda on the white side. The color is superbly amazing...and im in love with it. Unfortunately, i hated the application...it was awful. I didn't expect it to be soooo hard! Also, removing the nail polish was difficult to say the least, i still have all the shimmer on my fingers. I think this last picture shows how bad its application was. It might just be my application and not necessarily that this nail polish in specific is bad. So depending on your "nail polishing abilities" i guess, the results may be different. I probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you really like the color or you know how to apply polish well. And so that was my take on it and this does not mean that the polish is bad or that you shouldn't get it, but its just my opinion and how it was for me. Have a great day!

Fire Inspired Nail art

Hey everyone! So, i was thinking what better way to remember a traumatic experience than to use it as inspiration..hehe. Ok, so thats not exactly what happened. I mentioned in the previous post that while on vacation a fire happened in the building i was staying in. It happened at 2:00 a.m. Unfortunately i didn't wake up to the alarm rather i woke up to someone banging at the door (thank God). I was staying on about the 27th floor and i woke up my family and we charged down 27 flights of stairs. Unfortunately the fire had escalated pretty badly by the time we got out, but thankfully everyone was safe and there were no injuries. By 8:00 in the morning, they had controlled the fire but it had already ate up the whole back side of the building up to the roof and the whole right side. It was the scariest thing i've ever been in. If you'd like to take a look heres a picture...

Gulfnews.com

Anyway, so you know when your in a completely serious situation and your supposed to be all consumed by it and yet you end up thinking about something that has absolutely nothing to do with what your in. Thats what happened while i was going down the stairs...i was praying to God that we lived but also the titanic was playing in my head because of all the water and i was thinking...Man, this would make an awesome manicure if i make it out!
So this is my take on the fire...mind you its not scary its just a little fiery fun in my manicure.

Fire Nail Art

The first one is in sunlight and the second is with flash. So, the idea was streaks of glitter on all my nails to represent flames (it didn't really come out like that cuz of all the colored glittery pieces i guess) and on my ring finger it was supposed to be an explosion...Kaboom! hehe. I got the idea for this nail art from a lot of really cool bloggers but mainly from a blogger called the Nailside because she did one art design with the explosion and its super pretty. Heres a link
http://nailside.blogspot.com/2011/11/guest-post-for-oooh-shinies.html

The base is black on all fingers except my ring finger, obviously where it is red.

And heres what i used

Flormar Nail Therapy Ridge Filler which i used as a basecoat
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Black Out on all fingers except the ring finger
Sally Hansen No Chip 10 Day Nail Color in Resilient Red on my ring finger
NailStation Paris Nail Polish in Vandalism Art 77 to create the streaky design on the black
L.A. Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in Teal Glitter to create the explosion on the ring finger
And finally
Essence Gel-look XXXL Shine topcoat on all fingers except the ring finger

So thats my look, hope you like it.

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

Hey everyone...so it's been a while since i've posted anything but hopefully now i'll get back to what really matters...nail polish! I actually just got back from vacation and boyyyyy was it the craziest vacation i've ever gone on. There was everything from amazing african dancing, shopping, a fight, and even a fire! By far the craziest i've ever been on. So i got some pretty amazing nail polishes if i do say so myself. Unfortunately, only the last day did i find an amazing store that sells crazy kinds of nail polishes (crazy expensive as well), but honestly i didn't get anything cuz i had already gone a little shopping bananza at VS...anyway, maybe next time. Oh yeah, it was Dubai that i went to. So on to the nail polish...this is Revlon's Facets of Fuchsia. And while i wanted the whole expressionists nail collection this was the only one i managed to find and im not gonna lie it made my day. Its such a beautiful color...see for yourself.

Ok, this is three coats of Revlon Facets of Fuchsia and in the beginning, like the first coat is almost this sheer dark gray base with purple glitter in different sizes and shapes. The glitter comes in a hexagon shape and smaller glitter and a bit of shimmer as well. I hate sheer nail polish...and this would have been kind of sheer if it was left with one coat so i did another. But mainly the reason why i did a third was not because it needed, this is mostly a two coater, i did a third cuz i wanted like some serious glitter. And thats what i got. By the way, this is without topcoat.

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia
This is in slightly different lighting. By the second coat you get this wonderful purple glitter in a blackened base. Its uhh-may-zing!! I think this color suits pretty much all skin colors, because it combines dark (the black base) and bright (the fuchsia glitter). Also, i hear that this is pretty much a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Bad Romance. I've seen the pictures only and from that i would say it's pretty darn close.

This picture is with flash and it  kinds show some tipwear but thats because i was only able to take this picture like two days after i originally put it on and i had no topcoat on as well.

So, i hope this was helpful if anyone was considering buying this or something close to it, its an awesome color and every girl should have it. It's flirty yet it makes a statement...it has a personality!!

So, i just wanted to post something about basically my blog aim, if that makes any sense. I love nail polish, i love crazy colors but most often i tend to find myself infatuated with the darker more vampy colors, maybe because im such a fan of the more seductive side of nail polish. I love that nail polish makes an entire statement about who you are and how you live your life. For me, my love for pretty much all nail polish colors (except brown, i cant get over the fact that its just ugly), i guess is more of expression. And in the words of Prabal Gurung nails are "the period at the end of the sentence"...Love it! Ok, so in the coming days i will be uploading alot of different colors and later on alot of different nail art designs that i personally love. I know that not everyone is going to like my colors or my style and my blog might only appeal to a small number of people, but thats just perfect for me. So check me out sometime and hopefully, you'll find something for the nail lover in you!

First Official Post

Hey everyone and welcome to my blog! So this is my very first post...yay! And although i dont have all the different nail polish brands in the world nor the biggest bank account to buy all different nail polish brands, this is my little slice of the nail polish world and i happen to like it, hehe. I know that my first post should be something uber special, but i decided to start off humble. Actually this is just a nail polish that i recently found and immediately fell in love with. I've been looking for a very long time to find some holographic nail polish and although Jordan doesn't have the biggest collection around, i did manage to find this one so I am a very grateful shopper!

So this is Color Club's Worth the Risque. The pictures unfortunately do not do it justice which is such a shame. The thing about this color is that in some lights it looks actually very boring...and then in some other lights its like waaaam! a splash of rainbow.
Color Club Worth the Risque
So that's directly by the light and it kinda gives an idea of the holo effect. But honestly, its not the same in real life, i catch myself constantly staring at it. It's beautiful.

Dont mind my cuticles, please! So anyway, this is what i wanted to share with you guys...I love it. I know that there are probably some nail polishes out there that have a stronger effect possibly, but this is good enough for me.
Thanks for stopping by!
