Glitter Comparison: SpitFire vs. Magic Attraction

Hello my loves! Today I have a massive glitter post for you today. You know, I purchased Pure Ice SpitFire on a whim thinking that it could be a close or exact dupe for OPI Teenage Dream. Since I dont have the two I cant compare them for you. But while I was looking through my stash I came upon Color Club's Magic Attraction and immediately felt curious to know how they would look next to each other. I even felt a bit upset because I felt like it was further from Teenage Dream than I originally expected. I still dont know how sold I am on it as a dupe but I am happy with a pink scattered holographic glitter polish....so yeah! But anyway heres my comparison.

Index and Ring: Color Club Magic Attraction
Middle and Pinky: Pure Ice Spitfire

So as you can see they are very close but definitely not dupes. Magic Attraction is a more densely packed glitter in a clear base with some holographic shimmer in it. Spitfire is a more sparsely placed holographic glitter in pinkish/clear base. These pictures are 2 coats Magic Attraction vs. 2 coats Spitfire. With Spitfire I still had some VNL going on but with Magic Attraction the opacity built up very well. The formula on Spitfire was a bit less attractive than Magic Attraction because it was on the thicker side. Magic Attraction slides on nicely. But the bigger sized glitter pieces in Spitfire win me over completely. Although they are close I dont mind having them both in my collection because I know I will get use out of both of them. So thats always great.

Oh yeah, and I bought this totally cool ring the other and I'm just dying to show it to you guys. Woot...Woot!

How awesome is my snake ring. Ha ha. Love it. I purchased this from Muse for 4.75 JD's just in case your wondering. So yeah thats my post for today. Talk to you soon and have a great day!

Color Club Oh Naturale

Hey everybody! How are you all doing this fine fine day? Today I have an absolutely stunning summer polish to show you. I knew I had to have it the other day when I walked in the store. It was sooo bright and yet mellow. See I'm not a fan of neons, especially after four years at the University of Jordan seeing every single girl wear neon pink or orange because thats whats cool... ummm Not! lol, I dont know it sickens me to see neon orange and pink now. Anyway back on topic...so this is a mellow orangey peach color. And it is to dieeeeee for!

Color Club Oh Naturale- Direct Sunlight

Color Club Oh Naturale- Artificial lighting

Oh My God! Where has this baby been my whole life? Oh Naturale is definitely on the sheer side and I'm wondering why. I mean I know its called Oh Naturale but I dont really understand the relations between orange and naturale. Also why is this orange color sooo sheer? Maybe its to maintain the mellow-ness of the color. I'm not sure, but it took 4 coats to get it opaque. But it was easy to reapply the polish, there was no dragging, clumping or streaking. Is it me or is this color really hard to describe?...A part of me wants to call it tangerine peach. Because its definitely not that "in your face" kind of orange. Love it...love it! As for whether its flattering or not...I cant really say, I mean the color is subtle. Its somehow a nude orangey color so it doesn't really look much like polish but I think it looks OK on my skintone. I just loooove this color so much I dont care if it made my hands look like crap! Anyway, thats all for now lovvies.

Color Club: The Holographic Edition

Hey girly girls! So I've really been feeling in the mood for collages. I dont know why lol! Anyway and I was looking through my stash today and felt like I didn't do some of my Color Club holographic polishes justice before when I pictured them. I decided I would give it another try and hopefully this will do it. This post will mostly be pictures... Yaay for pictures!!

Color Club Wild at Heart from the 2009 Wild at Heart Collection. Amazing deep purple linear holographic polish. Holographic-ness alot stronger in real life than pictures!

Color Club Worth The Risque from their Femme Fatale Spring 2009 Collection. Silver Linear Holographic...way more amazing in person!

Color Club Fashion Addict from their Catwalk Queen Collection. A lavender linear holographic polish although lacking in holographic-ness and doesn't look better than this in real life. This is I think the least holographic polish out of all of them. Still beautiful though its extremely dull inside.

Color Club Revvvolution also from the Femme Fatale Collection. A dark charcoal based black linear holographic polish that shines soooo much more holographic in real life.!

All in all these polishes are a definite staple in my collection. I'm glad that I found them all because I would much rather have these strong holographic polishes than spend 17-20$ on some other polishes like Layla which might have slightly more holo-ness to them. Nah, I'm satisfied with these.
Anywho, I hope you've enjoyed these as much as I have... Love, love!

Bows...Bows...And More Bows

Hey! So, I've come to realize that I have an ever-growing love of everything bows. I want on my clothes, I want it on my jewlery, I want it on my hair, and I definitely want it on my nails! Every single nail...muhahaa. I really have fun drawing bows on my nails and dotting them and seeing how they come out in the end. Sometimes it is hard to get the shape to come out right, but its never bad enough so that I need to repeat...atleast in my opinion. And this is how it came out.

Nude Bow Manicure

I used Color Club Incognito as the base....which I absolutely adore! Any lady who loves nail polish should really add this to her stock because it is amazing. Perfection. And then I used a regular peachy/pink polish to draw on the bows. Then I outlined it in black and added white polka dots. Its so awesome to walk around with a billion (more like ten) bows on your nails and wave them all around. Good times! Thats all for today.

Color Club Magic Attraction

Hey guys! Hows it going? So today I want to show you THE MOST amazing glitter polish I have in my entire collection. Well I mean I have alot of other really cool glitters but this one is immensely glittery and holographic all in one. How cool is that? Magic Attraction has been out for a long time and I found it in my go to beauty store a couple months back and I thought I didn't really need it cuz I had so many glitters. But then one day I saw it on Scrangie's blog and I knew I just had to get it. So I go back to the store...and just my luck I couldn't find it again. So I searched and searched and finally I found it in the most random of stores...lol. So here it is!

Magic Attraction is a heavily packed glitter nail polish in a clear base. It applies very evenly although not so smoothly. But you can see how shiny it is in the pictures...I didn't use topcoat in any of these even though I know that topcoat will definitely even out the texture. You can see how holographic this polish is in the blurrier pictures. In real life it is soooo captivating like I just catch my nails in the mirror and keep staring at it...Its awesome.
And I know I keep repeating this, but its because I think its an awesome offer to share. Zoya is offering a FREE nail polish if you click HERE and make an account.
So thats all for today.

Color Club Revvvolution

Hey, Hey, Hey! Whats happening you guys? I really wanted to post this yesterday but my internet was playing games. Very uncomfortable. So anyway I want to show you Color Club Revvvolution. Look at this beauty!

Color Club Revvvolution

I'm gonna be honest, this is the amount of holographic-ness I was dying to find in the other color club holo nail polishes. I almost fainted when I saw that the holo in this color was not only immensely strong but captures on my weak little camera; bless its little soul. Revvvolution is a dark charcoal greyish black linear holographic nail polish. This color really lives up to the more expensive nail polish brands with the strong linear holographic polishes because your only paying 5 JD's for it (in Jordan). Love it, Love it, Love it. Get it if you can and you will not regret it. Although I have heard some comments that there are two versions of this polish, I would just say go to a very brightly lit area in the store and see what happens to the polish...if it becomes sparkly and bursts with color its holographic and if not then it wasn't meant to be. This has actually happened to me with Color Club Worth the Risque where there were two versions; one holographic one and one that just didn't sparkle. Anyway thats all for today!

Wild at Heart

Hey everyone! Hows it been? I've been away for so long and I hate it so I'm gonna show you a color I purchased a little while ago that I adore. Color Club Wild at Heart. I know you can find this practically everywhere on the web but I still want to show you mine. Right now I'm in the process of purchasing a lot of nail polishes since my brother are coming visit so they can bring it with them...Score! And although I dont have the biggest nail polish collection I hate it when I find colors that are close to mine. Any suggestions on something I just have to try? Anyway heres Wild at Heart.

Color Club Wild at Heart is a deep purple holographic polish. It is so holographic but my camera isn't good at capturing polishes like this. The third pictures is the closest at how it really is even though its a tad bit more in person. I absolutely adore this color and I'm so happy I found it. Because its so saturated you can easily use it to stamp designs and you'll still get that soft holo-y look. I definitely recommend!

Color Club Hold 'em

Hey everybody! Today I am going to show you Color Club Hold 'em. I saw this color a few days back and I realized I've probably never seen it around on the web. I really liked the color and so I decided to get it. I'm really glad I did as I dont really have anything exactly like it. I dont know which collection this is from and I dont think its an easy color to find but that makes it all the more unique when you do find it. Doesn't it, lol? Anyway so here are some swatches of it...

Color Club Hold 'em

Hold 'em is a medium pink loaded with silver microshimmer. The shimmer is silver but in the light it gives off a blue tint. The first and last picture are of the color in shade and the middle are in the sun. In the shade it looks very muted but still not your usual bright and poppy pink or your barbie pink. This is funner. The other thing I noticed about this was that its application was tricky. Not impossible but you have to be careful. I wasn't very careful on my index and so it looks kinda messy. I'm still not very sure if its a me color. It really makes my skin look tan, not tanner than normal just makes its kinda dark looking. Plus I'm not the biggest friend of pink so I dunno. I am glad I got it though cuz I would wear this color. I think my kinda color is Zoya Rori which still hasn't been released yet. Its more of a pinkish purple and I really really really want it. Anyway, until next time.

Color Club Red Velvet

Hello dearies! Today I will be showing you a wonderful new color that I brought very recently. I walked into a store that I sometimes buy nail polish from expecting that I wouldn't find anything. And to my surprise I found that they had pretty much all the previous collections from coloc club. How awesome was that? Very! Color Club has slowly but surely risen from the very bottom of my list all the way to the top of it and my heart. If your new to this brand...friend it! Because it is amazing and wont let you down. I also got Wild at Heart and Magic Attraction (finally!). I will be going back to get me some more like alias and red-ical gypsy. This is Red Velvet.

Color Club Red Velvet

Red Velvet is a beautiful red shimmer polish in a black base. How totally vampy is that? If your into the whole vampire/dark and sultry look this is definitely a polish for you. This is two coats although you'd be fine with only one. I leave you with a question. Should I start posting about my polish hauls? I usually just buy stuff and swatch it w/o showing the actual haul. I dunno. Let me know what your feeling.

Color Club Femme Fatale

Hello everybody! How are you doing today? Today's mani is fun and edgy and pretty all in one. I used to see Femme Fatale all the time and I was never really interested in it. But like two weeks ago I was in the store and I thought I'd try it over the polish I had on and see if it was nice or not. Love at first try! I wasn't the only one who fell in love with it. My mom immediately made me do her nails with it when she saw it. Here I have it over a black creme polish.

Color Club Femme Fatale

How lovely is that!? Femme Fatale is a sheer milky base with tons of millions of pink shimmery sparkles. I think its sort of like CND's effects polishes. Although this consists of pink shimmer on the black it looks gold and pink together at the same time. Also the base doesn't look black, it actually looks purple because of the the Femme Fatale. How totally awesome is that? Or am I the only one going Insane over this?? Haha, oh well!

Lace Manicure

Hey everyone! How's it going? I'm on a lace frenzy...and I cant stop. So I've been seeing alot of this lace look all over the internet, whether it be stamped or freehanded, and I decided I wanted to do it as well. I thought I would freehand it today and maybe do a stamped lace detail tomorrow or the day after. The other day, I saw that Manon had done a stamped lace design on Color Club's Incognito and I thought it was breathtaking. So I used that as my base color and then did lace detailing on the top with a regular black nail polish and detail brush. Here's how it came out..

Lace Manicure

Isn't Incognito to die for? It's this beige pink putty like color that looks very earthy and natural. Its a flattering color and a great alternative to just a flat beige. The lace detailing on the top was easy to do but as you can see it didn't come out perfect. But thats why I'm practicing in the first place, right? Surprisingly, it doesn't take long to do and it could be a great manicure for a party. Also, you dont need to do the detail in black...it can be in almost any color. I chose black because I like the contrast between it and the light base underneath...it almost looks like theres a viel on your fingertips. Tres chic, no? Have a great one!
