Color Club: The Holographic Edition

Hey girly girls! So I've really been feeling in the mood for collages. I dont know why lol! Anyway and I was looking through my stash today and felt like I didn't do some of my Color Club holographic polishes justice before when I pictured them. I decided I would give it another try and hopefully this will do it. This post will mostly be pictures... Yaay for pictures!!

Color Club Wild at Heart from the 2009 Wild at Heart Collection. Amazing deep purple linear holographic polish. Holographic-ness alot stronger in real life than pictures!

Color Club Worth The Risque from their Femme Fatale Spring 2009 Collection. Silver Linear Holographic...way more amazing in person!

Color Club Fashion Addict from their Catwalk Queen Collection. A lavender linear holographic polish although lacking in holographic-ness and doesn't look better than this in real life. This is I think the least holographic polish out of all of them. Still beautiful though its extremely dull inside.

Color Club Revvvolution also from the Femme Fatale Collection. A dark charcoal based black linear holographic polish that shines soooo much more holographic in real life.!

All in all these polishes are a definite staple in my collection. I'm glad that I found them all because I would much rather have these strong holographic polishes than spend 17-20$ on some other polishes like Layla which might have slightly more holo-ness to them. Nah, I'm satisfied with these.
Anywho, I hope you've enjoyed these as much as I have... Love, love!

Katy Perry Inspired Nail Art

Good morning! I hope everyone's day is off to a good start. So today I'm doing a look based on Katy Perry's California Gurls music video. Basically, it's all about cupcakes and sunshine. I found this bracelet on the web, I believe it was made for her video but I'm not sure how true that is. Anyway, I loved the bracelet and thought it would look great on my nails. Ha! Anyway, here it is.

Katy Perry Inspired Nail Art

This is a really cool and fun look. I think it would be awesome for summer time. I did a cupcake on a pale mint green color on my index finger. A whole bunch of colors on my middle finger. I applied a silver base color on my ring and then pink crackle and then a coat of glitter in clear top coat. For my pinky finger i applied a pink base coat and a whole bunch of pink gems on to it. For my thumb i also did a rainbow of colors but this time slanted.

Anyway so thats the look and here's what i used.

This was:
-Flormar Nail Therapy Ridge Filler as a basecoat
-Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in White On for my thumb and middle finger
-Flormar Graffiti Nails in G08 which I applied over the silver on my ring finger
-Jordana Nail Polish in Silver for my ring finger
-Gabrini Multivitamin in 384 on my pinky finger
-Inglot Nail Enamel in 721 for the rainbow on my thumb and middle finger and the base of the cupcake on my index finger
-Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Disco Ball on my ring finger
-Seventeen Super Shine in 279 and 288 for the blue and purple in rainbow and Seventeen Supreme in 30 for the mint green in rainbow and Flormar Nail Enamel in 424 for the darker green in rainbow
-Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Black Out for the outline of the cupcake
-And finally L.A. Colors Art Deco Nail Art Lacquer in Flamingo for the bright pink in rainbow

Phew...that was alot, although it didn't feel quite that much when I was doing this. Honestly, I think it took me about 15 minutes altogether including drying time.

Oh and before i forget this is where I got the idea from

Sinful Colors you really are sinful!

Hey everyone! I hope your all having a great day...my day was kinda tough, so i decided to do my nails and feel better. Oh, how wrong i was! Ok, so i hate not liking a nail polish...it feels weird. Anyway, this was one of those colors that i instantly fell in love with and i knew it was gonna give me trouble from my initial swatch but i was like how bad could it be and i thought the color would be sooo worth it. And sinful colors tend to have good application nail polishes so i thought, what the heck! Anyway i decided to put it on today and i knew i had to wait between each application to make it work right and so i tried my HARDEST to remain as patient as possible.
Alright, without further introduction this is Sinful Colors in Out Of This World from their Wish collection for holiday 2011.

Sinful Colors Out of This World

Out Of This World is more on the sheer side...no actually this is completely sheer. Honestly, it looked kinda sheer in the bottle but i mean the first layer was completely sheer with just some shimmer showing. So i waited...and waited...and then reapplied. And waited...and waited, and then applied one more layer. So i was up to three layers and then began to notice some empty spots. I dont know how much it shows because my camera isn't that great, but you can probably see it on my ring finger.

Alright on to the color description...i know it appears to be silver but in reality its more of an icy frosty silver color kinda on the white side. The color is superbly amazing...and im in love with it. Unfortunately, i hated the application...it was awful. I didn't expect it to be soooo hard! Also, removing the nail polish was difficult to say the least, i still have all the shimmer on my fingers. I think this last picture shows how bad its application was. It might just be my application and not necessarily that this nail polish in specific is bad. So depending on your "nail polishing abilities" i guess, the results may be different. I probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you really like the color or you know how to apply polish well. And so that was my take on it and this does not mean that the polish is bad or that you shouldn't get it, but its just my opinion and how it was for me. Have a great day!

First Official Post

Hey everyone and welcome to my blog! So this is my very first post...yay! And although i dont have all the different nail polish brands in the world nor the biggest bank account to buy all different nail polish brands, this is my little slice of the nail polish world and i happen to like it, hehe. I know that my first post should be something uber special, but i decided to start off humble. Actually this is just a nail polish that i recently found and immediately fell in love with. I've been looking for a very long time to find some holographic nail polish and although Jordan doesn't have the biggest collection around, i did manage to find this one so I am a very grateful shopper!

So this is Color Club's Worth the Risque. The pictures unfortunately do not do it justice which is such a shame. The thing about this color is that in some lights it looks actually very boring...and then in some other lights its like waaaam! a splash of rainbow.
Color Club Worth the Risque
So that's directly by the light and it kinda gives an idea of the holo effect. But honestly, its not the same in real life, i catch myself constantly staring at it. It's beautiful.

Dont mind my cuticles, please! So anyway, this is what i wanted to share with you guys...I love it. I know that there are probably some nail polishes out there that have a stronger effect possibly, but this is good enough for me.
Thanks for stopping by!
