Max Factor Dazzling Blue Layering Swatches

Hello all! Forgive me for my absence between posts. I honestly dont know how this keeps happening. Everytime I come back to write a post I realize its been like 4 days since my last. Shame...Shame! Hopefully you'll forgive me once you see these swatches. This nail polish was given to me as a gift from my sister-in-law along with alot of other polishes, some of which I've already posted about. Anyway I kept bugging her about finding Fantasy Fire for me and so she came with the next best thing. Well almost! Oh yeah and before I forget...I officially made my first nfu-oh purchase. And yeah, you guessed im sure, it was nfu-oh's famous 51. If your interested in getting one I found mine on fabuloustreet for 11.25$. Now I just have to wait, patiently mind you, until I get it. Anyway, so back to the swatches.

Max Factor Dazzling Blue over Sally Hansen Black Out (Sun)

Max Factor Dazzling Blue over Black (shade)

So these swatches are 2 coats Max Factor Dazzling Blue above 2 coats black. I gotta say as much as I like this color I didn't particularly enjoy it too great. I think its because its in that blue/green range which I'm generally not too fond of but somehow have so many polishes in the same range. I do appreciate its shiny-ness and its subtle shimmer. I liked it much better over white.

Sorry for the crappy-ness of this picture but it still gives you an idea.. Pretty, eh!
Anyway, thats all for now. Peace!

The Most Spectacular Green Ever: Zoya Envy

Hey guys! Whats going on? So as you can tell from my post title, this is about Zoya Envy. Uhhh, the sheer beauty of it is insane. I know alot of people that dont find green polish to be flattering. But when you see it on my nails you can automatically tell that this polish is a good do-er. I'm sure this color works on every skintone possible. I'm still wiping off the drool from when I first applied this. lol

Was I exaggerating? hehe, I didn't think so! You know I originally fell in love with the whole dark green look when I saw Scrangie's post about Nars Zulu. I wanted it, yet I knew I would never find it...so I began looking for alternatives and for me Zoya Envy seemed like the perfect one. Darkened green, can appear black in some lights but in most lights its an obvious dark forest green. Creamy and smooth and oooh so shiny. The formula on this beauty was impeccable. I had not one single complaint about it. Of course the Zoya brushes help tremendously with application and again and again I'm tempted to buy so many more polishes because I just have to have more. The pictures above are two coats each. Removal was a breeze although I thought it would be too difficult the color came off very easily. So altogether this polish gets an A+ for exceeding my already high expectations. What do you think?

HM Lady Luck

Hey guys today I'm showing you swatches for a polish from H&M. You know I would have never thought to get a polish from a clothing store just because I would guess its not good quality, but I've heard alot about these H&M polishes and I was very excited to try it when I got it as a gift. Anyway so here is Lady Luck which is a duochrome btw! Love.

H&M Lady Luck is a dark metallic green polish to gold duochrome polish. Simply a must have. Quality is very very fine. This took two coats and thats mostly out of habit because you could definitely get away with only one. Formula on this was very good and easy to work with. The brush was also good, its a tad bit bigger from the bottom than the top (like fan shaped) but very easy to work with. Have you noticed that all of my duochromes have to have green in them. Strange because green wouldn't be my first pick! but still beautiful! Thats all for today.

Some Polka Dot Lovin On My Nails!

Hey girlies...hows it going? Today's gonna be a short post, I've been getting really busy with summer activities and work so I'm going to show you real quick some nail art I did.

For this design I used Essie No More Film, Essie Ole Caliente, Flormar 424, Inglot 721, Barielle Blossom, and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Green With Envy (In order from Navy Blue at top of nail to Green at bottom corner). For the base I used Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On. Obviously this design is super easy to do, it just requires some patience. Great for summer wear. Anyway, thats all for now.

LCN MultiChrome Polish

Hey everyone! Today I have a a really strange polish to show you. Its an amazing polish that literally looks like a rainbow. I just stare at it forever in the bottle. Enough talking...right, I'm sure you want to see this precious. Precious I tell you! Translation onto the nail...Well see for yourself!

So as you can see although in the bottle there is Mardi Gras Green, purple, gold, pink, and blue. On the nail however, there is only three different colors: green, purple, and blue. So technically its still multichrome...just not as spectacular as in the bottle. This upsets me, but what can you do? This is also sad because this LCN 169 contains DBP, Toluene, and Formaldehyde. I dont usually care if polishes contain that but for some reason I was pretty upset when I saw all the stuff this had in it. But it was so easy to apply. Formula was perfect...and it took three coats but it dried really fast. So thats pretty good. But still translation onto the nail wasn't impressive at all. So thats all for now!

Lizard Manicure

Hey girlies! Whats going on? So today I want to show you this design that I did which I really liked. It came out looking like lizard skin but you know not in a creepy nasty "what the hell" kinda way. It came out looking interesting in different. So I'll show you what I first started out with. This is just the base color alone.

This is Sally Hasen Xtreme Wear in Green With Envy. Alot of people complain that the brushes on the Xtreme Wear polishes arent the best. For me all the Sally Hansen polishes work great even when the brushes aren't too even because of the round tipped shape. I dunno I never have problems when applying this...I dont even do a clean up afterwards. This isn't a go to color of mine by any means. I guess I'm old school like that. But I keep looking at my nails and it seems pretty cool and it doesn't really clash with my skin which I thought it would. Then I thought this would be a great time to try out the graffiti (crackle) polish I bought from Turkey a year back. And the coolest thing happened!

Tell me that doesn't look like lizard skin? I used Golden Rose Graffiti Nail Art in 063 on top of Green With Envy and it came out soooo awesome. I love it!
This is definitely a summery design and just really is fun. I know that not alot of people would like this or even want to look at it but I appreciate how cool the effect is on it. And I know that crackle polish has lost its luster but it is an easy alternative when you want something cool but dont have time to go all out on your nails. And just a reminder you guys if you click HERE and make a Zoya account you automatically get a FREE polish! So thats all for today!

Minty Green Bows

Hello all! I think you may have noticed that I have a thing for bows. Yes...Yes I do. So whenever I want to fun up my manicure I tend to choose bows. And today being no different, my manicure includes bows. If you think my nails are slightly different lengths in my different posts, the truth is that they are. But thats because some of my pictures are of my right hand and some are of my left. In real life you cant tell that may nails are different lengths but in pictures (and super close) its obvious. So thats why.

Minty Green Bows

The reason I only have three nails showing in these pictures is because I ruined my index while taking pictures so I decided I just wouldn't show it lol. This is Seventeen Supreme Shine in # 30. Its a real creamy pastel light green color that screams spring time. I love colors like this because theyre expressive. The problem I have personally with Seventeen pastel colors is that they tend to blumpy. I dont a mix of blotchy and bumpy I guess. If you put too little layers its streaky and ugly, and if you put too many layers its looks like hills that collide to create a whole new world on your nail..also ugly. Sometimes 2 coats is enough for some of the polishes and sometimes you need three. Its very confusing. But still the colors are wonderful. I drew in the bows with a thin brush. And viola!

Random Colored nail polishes

Hey! So, i have a really cool mani that i wanna show you guys but im waiting for something and then Boy...am I gonna show you! hehe. Anyway, so before that i want to just share some recent nail polishes that i got with you guys. I think there awesome!

Essence Colour & Go Where Is The Party?

This is Essence Colour & Go in Where Is The Party? Its an awesome duochrome that flashes between purple and green as you can see in the second picture. Its a really weird color, and some people might not like it but i think its pretty amazing. The brush is small because the bottle is super small like i dont know if the whole collection is small but all of the Colour & Go's that i found were mini so maybe. Like this is only 5 mL where most other nail polishes are an average of 10 mL. So you get the idea.
Anyway, this was also kind of streaky which upset me. Also, it was rather bubble which is weird because i applied this just as i do any other nail polish but for some reason it came out sort of bubble on some fingers.

So that's that. I think its cool, also pretty much there whole collection was amazing. I only got three but i think i'm gonna get some more.

On to the next this is Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Shrimply Devine

Ok so thats super close up...hehe. Anyway its a awesome corally shrimp color pretty much as the name says. Its suppper suppppper pretty. I love it. Its no too pink or too orangey which is cool. And its a very flattering color. Dont be deceived by the color it really shows up beautifully. I dont know, sometimes Sally Hansen nail polish brushes annoy me. And then sometimes they are so efficient and they make applying nail polish that much easier. This was one of those times. I finished my application with like literally one swipe. How awesome is that?
Dont you just love it when a nail polish actually applies itself? God knows i do!
